Year-end sales have plenty of sparkle - Pittsburgh Tribune-Review

Year-end sales have plenty of sparkle - Pittsburgh Tribune-Review

J.S. Dill Auctions
According to a representative of the executor of the estate of Jack Dill and Bob Hanks, J.S. Dill Auctions will hold a series of sales that will consist entirely of the possessions of the late co-owners. The first two auctions will be held on Dec. 9 and 16. A third sale will take place on Jan. 1, continuing the J.S. Dill tradition of New Year's Day auctions. An undetermined number of sales will be held in January to close out the estate. Acting business manager Jack Squires will organize the auctions.
BHD Auctions
While the estate of Jack Dill and Bob Hanks is being settled, a former J.S. Dill Auctions employee, Brian Detch, will conduct sales under the BHD Auctions banner. The new company's first sale is Dec. 2 with items from a West Virginia estate. Among the highlights are an 18-inch cylinder music player, Christmas toys, artwork, porcelain figurines, Meissen and beer steins. The sale will take place at the American Legion hall on 308 W. New Castle St. in Zelienople with a 5 p.m. preview followed by the 6 p.m. sale.
